The Morning Current is a free newsletter operated by Atomic Media Group, LLC. We keep this simple: we collect only what we need to send you a useful, personalized brief, and we never sell your information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Your email address — so we can send you the newsletter.
• Your first name (optional) — to personalize the greeting.
• The roles you select — so we can match the content to your work.
• Your timezone — detected from your browser at signup, so we deliver around 7 AM in your local time.
• Basic email engagement — whether emails are opened or links clicked, through our email provider, so we can tell whether the newsletter is working.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive personal information.

How we use it

We use your information only to operate the newsletter: to build and send your personalized brief, to schedule delivery in your timezone, to let you update your role preferences, and to understand engagement in aggregate so we can improve what we send.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the newsletter, and we share information with them only as needed to deliver it:

• Brevo — our email delivery platform (stores your contact details and sends the emails).
• Supabase — our database (stores your roles, timezone, and subscription status).
• Cloudflare — hosts the website.

We never sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, which stops all sends. You can change the roles your brief is personalized for on the update roles page. To have your information deleted entirely, email us and we will remove it.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we retain a minimal record to honor your opt-out, and we delete the rest on request.

Children

The Morning Current is intended for working professionals and is not directed to anyone under 16.

Changes

If we update this policy, we will change the date above and, for material changes, note it in the newsletter.
